Korff Enterprises, Inc.

 

Korff Enterprises, Inc was formed in 1979 to organize what became the A&P Tennis Classic in Mahwah, New Jersey.  The company has owned or operated over 100 different events including professional tennis and golf tournaments, triathlon, concerts, balloon festivals, and more.  

Korff Enterprises, Inc is based in New York City and owned by John Korff.  The company organizes the 12th Annual New York City Triathlon – one of the world’s three largest Olympic distance triathlons – and the Ironman US Championship in partnership WTC, organizers of Ironman races worldwide.

The company currently organizes Foodland Supermarket’s sponsorship of a charity golf tournament on the North Shore of O’ahu.  The company has managed sponsorships of several pro golf events in Hawaii.  These nationally televised tournaments have featured all of the top names in men's and women’s professional golf. 

In partnership with Promo 1, Korff Enterprises, Inc owns and operates the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, America’s largest summertime balloon and music festival. 

 

The company staged the US Olympic Triathlon Trials in 2004 in Honolulu Hawaii.  This was the first privately organized Olympic Trials in any US Olympic sport and the first Olympic event held in Hawaii. Korff Enterprises, Inc helped found the JAL Honolulu Triathlon in 2005 and co-organized the ITU World Triathlon Championships in Honolulu in 2005. The company currently works with New York Road Runners and organizes all on-course entertainment for The ING New York City Marathon and other NYRR races throughout the year.

Korff Enterprises, Inc also organizes the annual Live! With Regis & Kelly High Heel-A-Thon in New York’s Central Park.  In 2011, the company organized Live! With Regis & Kelly’s Run Across America, where ultramarathon runner Dean Karnazes ran 3,000 miles in 74 days to benefit Action for Healthy Kids.
